You love your Honda Dax 125, but as soon as you stop, the balance loses its balance. One foot in the air, the other searching for the ground.
You are not alone. Between the stock seat height, suspension and ground clearance, the stock Dax 125 is not designed for short or medium sized riders. Lowering a Dax 125 is therefore one of the most frequent requests from owners of this mini 4-stroke.
Follow Nox Custom in this guide and discover our solution for reduce the height of a Dax 125, place both feet on the ground and finally ride calmly.
Original Dax 125 height: why are so many pilots trying to lower it?
The Honda Dax 125 is an endearing, urban mini motorcycle that is fun to ride. But it hides a fault well known to its owners: it is simply too high for many drivers. Place both feet flat on the ground in the original configuration? Far from being obvious.
And it's no coincidence. Honda designed the Dax 125 for a standard driver 1m75 / 70 kg. If you don't fit this profile, and many don't, the Dax 125 is not suited to your size. Several elements combine to explain this height:
- The original saddle — positioned 790 mm from the ground
- Rear shock absorbers — 340 mm original, which keeps the chassis high
- The front fork — without lowering margin in standard configuration
- Ground clearance — which limits the possibilities of lowering without intervention
Each of these elements make the Dax 125 very high. And this is precisely why an effective Dax 125 lowering must attack the problem at the source, on all elements at once.

Customer case: Dax 125 Super Low by Nox Custom
We don't talk in theory, we show you the result. A customer entrusted us with his Honda Dax 125 with a clear objective: to lower the Honda Dax 125 as much as possible, without compromising on looks or practicality. Here's exactly what we did, step by step.
4 steps to lower a Dax 125 by 90mm
Lowering the height of the Dax 125 cannot be improvised. Here are the technical solutions, to be combined according to your size and your objectives.
Step 1 — Lowering the front fork of Honda Dax 125 with Racing Bros kit (-90mm)
First project: the front of the motorcycle. We installed a Racing Bros tube and slider kit to lower the Dax 125 fork by 90mm.
Result: the front lowers radically, while maintaining an excellent driving feeling. And if necessary, we can go down another 80mm.
Step 2 — Replacing the rear shock absorbers of the Dax 125: from 340mm to 245mm (-85mm)
We replaced the original 340mm Dax 125 shock absorbers with original MSX 245mm shock absorbers, i.e. 85mm saved at the rear. The chassis touches the ground, there is approximately 10mm left between the rear tire and the wheel arch. A key intervention for any effective mini motorcycle chassis lowering.
Step 3 — Customized stand: the essential step after lowering the Dax 125
Often forgotten, yet crucial step. We shorten the original stand by 90mm so that it is consistent with the new Dax 125 saddle height. Without this adaptation, the motorcycle no longer holds correctly when stationary, a detail which can be expensive.
Step 4 — Custom Dax 125 saddle: the finishing touch for a successful lowering
To finalize the preparation, we design a custom saddle adapted to the pilot's size: foam, covering, seams. The final touch that takes the Dax 125 from stationary to custom and further optimizes the Honda saddle height for maximum comfort.

Final result: a lowered, personalized Dax 125, ready for the urban jungle
The customer can now take control of their Dax 125 with both feet on the ground, finally. Concrete proof that a well-performed Honda Dax 125 lowering does not compromise safety, looks or everyday practicality.

I want to lower my Dax 125 ➔Frequently asked questions about lowering Honda Dax 125
How much does a Dax 125 lowering cost?
The price depends on the interventions chosen: shock absorbers alone, fork, custom stand, or complete pack. Each project is costed on estimate, according to your expectations and the parts selected. Ask for a quote.
Can you lower a Dax 125 without losing driving comfort?
Yes, provided you choose a specialist in mini 4-stroke mechanics and the right spare parts. A Racing Bros kit absorbs irregularities much better than a makeshift fork. Quality short shock absorbers offer a better firmness/comfort compromise than low-end references. The right workshop, the right spare parts, that’s where it all comes down to.
Is lowering a Dax 125 reversible?
Yes, in most cases. Replacing the shock absorbers and fork are reversible operations, you just need to put back the original parts. The custom-made shortened stand is not reversible. This is why we always keep the original parts aside before any intervention.
