The Takegawa “Super” reinforced timing chain tensioner replaces the original arm in pressed sheet metal with an arm machined from super-duralumin high strength. Thicker and stiffer, with enlarged contact surface on the pusher, it maintains a correct distribution tension even on a prepared engine and greatly extends the life of the pusher. Tensioner roller included.

⚠️ Specific to generations above — not suitable to previous generations (Monkey JB02, GROM JC61/JC75, MSX125/SF, CT125 JA55, etc.). Check your engine serial number.

⚠️ To be provided for assembly:
• If the pusher head of the tensioner is worn or damaged, replace it with a new original part.
• Don't using a “hardened” pusher head from another brand: overloads the timing chain and can damage the engine.
• A left clutch cover gasket is necessary in addition (not supplied).
• Special tools required : rotor holding + flywheel extractor.
Good to know
Strategic wear part on prepared engines (high oil flow, high revs): it is readily replaced during an engine overhaul or a large volume kit. NoxCustom can supply the crankcase cover gasket and carry out the installation in the workshop.
